Good Evening! It’s your boy Wyclef. AKA The Preacher’s Son. AKA, Where My Money At? Well, as you know yesterday, we talked about D.C. I am still on a high!
Guess where I am leaving now!?!? No, Second guess? Give up? It is cold ass Utah. Where they ski day and night! Speaking of skiing, I was offered to take a late night ski run down a very big hill last night by Andrew Spellman. I had a few questions for him beforehand. First question: Why don’t we do this in the daylight? He explained to me that it was more of a rush and because you cold crash and die (Laugh out loud)! ”Man listen homie”, I said. ”I got to get back to New York. I got BILLIONS of fans around the world, and what would they think …. I am a moron out skiing at night, and crashing into a tree! Can we try something a little more daring like play golf?”
So I came out here to Sundance Film Festival to shoot a segment for a documentary called, PEOPLE SPEAK. It is a film documenting the voices of peoples history through the best speeches, poems, and literary. It is based on a book by Howard Zinn and Anthony Arnove (shout out to my boy Howard! We had a good time!) Produced by Chris Moore and Matt Damon, and directed by Tony Sacco. I like to throw big names around like it’s cool! Or is it not sayeth the haters (laugh out loud again!) Other performances and readings from Bruce Springsteen, Don Cheadle, and Morgan Freedman among others are featured in the film.
Also shooting yesterday were Benjamin Bratt, Marisa Tomei and Woody Har
relson, and guess who walks in the room but THE MAN himself, Robert Redford. I shook his hand 50 times so some of his luck could rub off on me. Ha Ha! I did a reading not from the book, but of my poem that I featured in yesterday’s blog “Letter From 43 To 44″. (The letter from George Bush to Barack Obama)
In the case that you missed it, let me flip it again. It might sound just a little different than on yesterday’s blog. I messed up the numbers a little (we corrected, but you never know). Excuse me, it is a bit elementary, but why would it not be?

Some people may be reading this blog and be confused now. Curtis Mayfield changed his name to Curtis Blow? No, people, Curtis Blow was a rapper and Producer. Curtis Mayfield is one of the greatest songwriters in music and has a unique style. You dig?!

OK, now. Just a little bit of politics before I go. Just my opinion of course! The country obviously needs to get back on it’s feet. It is going to take Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, and even those few communist types (bad joke) to work together. I think we must act swiftly. Help move the world forward. Times are bad. Not time to debate. Stop holding up the 875M bail out. We must act now slow pokes!

You are a smart man! Skiing in the dark sounds like a terrible idea, haha. What do you think about Obama closing Gitmo? There is nowhere to put all of the prisoners and I’m wondering what sort of plan he will come up with. Greta was talking about that on her blog today and it made me wonder what you thought of it all…?
